Want to welcome 4 new members that were approved at our October Meeting.
Paul Bellucci, Tony Macro, Christopher Nutter, and Al Stalsonberg

Due to the addition of those members... We will now be holding Hunter Safety Courses after the first of the year! What a great opportunity this brings to the club.

Christopher Nutter and Tony Macro are both state certified instructors. Chris is also a Master Bow instructor. This brings us one step closer to obtaining our 501c3(Not-for-profit) Status.

Looking forward to posting more information on this as it becomes available!!

YFUS Trip

Well....I finally had my first YFUS excursion. The weather and conditions were perfect, except for the biting of the fish! We did manage to add 3 fish to his count bringing him to a total of 1177. We did have to share, by far, what was the best catch of the day!! A perch that latched on to Warren's worm. Notice: I said WORM!! It sucked it in and wouldn't let go! And I do believe the worm was longer than the fish itself! It made for a comical moment on the blah fishing day!

At the last meeting... It was decided the Club meetings will now be the SECOND TUESDAY of the month! Therefore, our meeting for July will be on the 14th. NOT THE 8th!

The July meeting is also scheduled to be a HOUSECLEANING meeting starting at 6:30! Please show up early and lend a hand!

Just Had To Share

This past weekend, we went camping in Old Forge... We had some deer encounters and I just had to share this one. The doe came right up to the window. Look at Nina's face at the end. I am quite sure we have all had that expression at some point in the woods!! PRICELESS!!

YFUS Update

Congratulation on your opening bass day venture! We didn't get out till about 7:30 on Saturday and fished till 11:30. We did 3 long drifts into Big Bay. We caught 45 fish the biggest of which were: 24 inch pickeral, 20 inch walleye, 18 inch SM bass and a 17 inch LM bass. We actually saw a 10 inch gar out of the Bay this weekend. Most were caught on spinners with a piece of worm. Club members Dan Pabis and Phil Hildreth were on board the YFUS for this fishing venture. I would have rather had a west wind to deal with, but we eat a great lunch. So far this season we have caught 613 fish. Oneida Lake is the best fishing lake in the World!

Bass Season Begins

Saturday was a terrible opening to the Bass Season...weather wise. Although, I don't know about you all, but I had a GREAT morning before the rain arrived. I was on the water by 5:00 and off by 8:30. I boated 11 smallies, a just-under 15 in walleye, and a white perch. The smallies were on a feeding rampage. They were hitting everything I threw at them... especially Rob Goffredo's "Shadalicious" recommendation. One bit of advice though folks... don't try to set the hook on the first hit!

AWESOME WEEKEND

This past weekend was a VERY successful weekend for the club!

We raised over $300 in our 1st ever yard sale! We also raised roughly $1300 in our first Chicken BBQ of the year! We had great weather and a great turnout.

Special Thanks to all those members who lent a helping hand throughout the weekend... we couldn't have done it without you!
